Restoration abides by
the Association of Christian Counsellors code of ethics
and practice and is an Affiliated Organisation of the Association.
All Restoration counsellors are personal members of the
Association.
In the unlikely event of a complaint counselees
are at liberty to take their case to the Association.
Our aim is to support Christians and others
in the UK by offering and developing a Christian Counselling
service using e-mail.
Our policies are:
To accept suitable people from all faiths
or none and from all races and walks of life.
To assess each proposed counselee as to
suitability for e-mail counselling within the abilities
and scope of Restoration Christian Counselling. Where counselling
cannot be offered, suitable referrals will be made or suggested
wherever possible.
To operate a confidential service within
the boundaries of ethics and the law.
To work within agreed and documented Child
Protection Guidelines
To respect people as individuals with a
right to make their own choices.
Restoration counsellors will not seek to
evangelise within the counselling relationship.
To offer counselling on a short-term basis
but with some flexibility. Normally this will be in the
range of 10 - 20 sessions. Sessions are limited to a maximum
of 2000 words.
